Why don't you sell online?
We at Tutus and Tendus believe in getting the best fit and service possible. Dance brands are notorious for having hard to understand sizing. Online dance purchases often end up being the wrong size and need to be returned. Then you wind up paying for shipping 3 times to get the correct fit. We want to make sure you get it right the first time! Getting the experience of feeling the quality of the products you are purchasing, and the ability to try things on ends up being a time and money saver. Need something fast? Give us a call and we'll place your item on hold for you to pick up at your convenience!
Can't I just buy dance items at Target or Walmart?
While these big box store do carry dance products, they are limited in their sizes and often low quality. Some dance studios won't even allow their dancers to purchase their shoes from these retailers. At Tutus and Tendus, we have high quality products in toddler through adult plus sizes, you get a personal fitting, we have products for all budgets, a large selection of styles and colors, and you are supporting your local Rochester community!
How often do you get new products?
We are always adding new fashion items and making sure our basic shoe and tight inventories are in stock. As a new store, it can sometimes be hard to know what products and sizes will be the most popular, so if you need something in a size we don't currently have we will gladly order it and alert you when we have it in. Where should I park?
We have a parking deck directly behind our store and the first hour is free!! Take advantage! There is also metered street parking right in front of our store.
Do you ever have sales or offer discounts?
Yes!! Keep up to date with our sales and get special offers by joining our email list! Also check your dance studio, local publications, or our website for coupons.
Are gift certificates available?
Yes! Our gift certificate amount has a minimum of $20.
What is your return policy?
Returns and exchanges may be made within 30 days of purchase with original receipt and tags intact. No returns on opened tights or undergarments.
Why do I have to schedule a pointe shoe fitting instead of just walking in?
We want to make sure that our pointe shoe customers will have an experienced fitter fully available to only you for however long it takes! An appointment ensures that we will have enough staff working so that our fitters can give you their full attention. We will only sell pointe shoes to students who are deemed ready by their dance teachers.
